Water Outages
*** Del-Co communicates all scheduled and emergency outages via a phone message with details of the outage. Therefore, it is important to confirm that your contact information is current on your Del-Co Water account ***
During water main repairs, outages, and emergency repairs, Del-Co will notify the affected customers with an automated phone call (to provide details about the outage). The overwhelming majority of these outages do not require that customers boil the water. However, if there is a need to boil your water, the details of the Boil Water Advisory will be added to the outage notification. If you are instructed to boil your water, see the recommendations below.
DURING A BOIL WATER ADVISORY:
Bring all water used for cooking and drinking to a rolling boil and continue to boil for one minute. Allow water to cool before using. If unable to boil your water, you can use bottled water until the advisory is over. For more information, see these CDC Recommendations. After your water is restored, you may notice some discoloration or air in the water. This is normal until it is flushed through the system.
